Hazardous Materials Specialist Level 40-Hours

The 40-hour Hazardous Materials Specialist certifies an employee to "respond with and provide support to HAZMAT Technicians.. However those duties require a more directed or specific knowledge of the various substances they may be called upon to contain".  Companies that elect to certify their employees to the 40 hour level may not require external contractors for spill cleanup, as employees certified to this level will have sufficient competency to respond to, contain, and clean up spills or releases of hazardous materials.

Who Should Attend: This training is required by any employee who would respond aggressively to a chemical emergency by attempting to stop the release at the point of discharge and to contain and clean up released materials.
