Hazardous Materials - 8 Hour Annual Refresher

This course is designed for all spill responders and hazardous waste site workers to reinforce the material covered in the 40-hour Hazardous Materials Specialist Level or the 24-hour Hazardous Materials Technicians Level HAZWOPER certification.  It meets the annual 8-hour refresher training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120 for workers and supervisors engaged in manufacturing spill response, remedial activities at hazardous waste sites as well as hazardous material spill response teams and organizations. 

Who Should Attend: Those who have already had the 40-hour Specialist or 24-hour Technician Level HAZWOPER Training should attend to receive certification.  Individuals not having completed initial 24 or 40-hour HAZWOPER training may find the course useful to build appropriate in-house spill response capabilities or to learn about consequences and implications of spill response.  Non-certified individuals may attend the class and will receive certificates of attendance.   Please note that 29 CFR 1910.120 requires this "annual" refresher-training course for these courses.
