Customized Facility Maintenance Certification

This Certificate Program was designed to address member-company needs and contains both theoretical and hands-on training in a lab. These courses are facilitated by instructors with many years experience in the field. PLCs used for this course are Allen-Bradley and GE.

Participants may take all the courses to complete a Facility Maintenance Certificate or enroll in only those courses that are of interest. However, if you are not completing the full certificate program please call the Northeast Pennsylvania Manufacturers and Employers Association office at 570-622-0992 or 570-450-6893 to discuss any pre-requisites that may exist for a particular class.

Who Should Attend: This certificate program and the individual courses that make up this program are intended for individuals already working in an industrial maintenance field who find a need for continuing education or to update their current skills. This course assumes the individual has a basic foundation in industrial maintenance.

Certificate Courses:

*Basic Blueprint Reading -8 hours
*Electricity for Non-Electricians -20 hours
*Basic Electronics -40 hours
*Advanced Electronics -40 hours
*Motors and Control Circuits -30 hours
*Variable Speed Drive -30 hours
*Programmable Logic Controllers - 30 hours
*Advanced Programmable Logic Controllers - 30 hours
Introduction to Pneumatics and Hydraulics - 20 hours
Mechanical Systems Troubleshooting - 15 hours

* Signifies that these courses must be taken in sequence. Experienced individuals may skip some of the basic classes, but must get approval prior to the start of the course.
